‘A Love Like No Other’ Out Now!

When my husband and I decided to start a family, we knew that things were going to be a little bit complicated—we didn’t exactly have a uterus on hand to do the heavy lifting. We signed up with an adoption agency, made a brochure about ourselves to try and get picked by a birth mother, and waited.

Covid hit a few months later. About two weeks into quarantine, we got notified that a baby had been born and we had been selected. It was an exhilarating call that came at a scary time. And unfortunately, after three days with the baby, it didn’t work out. A few months later we had another failed adoption, and decided to pause on things while we recovered.

It was a sad time and we felt hopeless, but the pendulum swung in our favor. Out of the blue, a friend of a friend generously offered to give us her eggs. Surrogacy was something we hadn’t even considered. Though the process was complicated, it was a lot less fraught with anxiety than adoption had been. Another agency found us a wonderful surrogate, and after a lot of paperwork, we got underway.

From when we signed with the adoption agency to when our son was finally born, almost 4 years passed. Every day since then has been a dream come true—so much so that I had to write a book about it.

A Love Like No Other is a promise from two dads to their son—to play, to love, to laugh, to explore, and to be a family forever. I think it’s a great book for all kinds of families looking to show their children that love looks the same no matter who the parents are.

The book is available exclusively on Amazon. Thanks for your support, and please leave a review if you enjoy it!
